Report Anyone Practicing Medical Nutrition Therapy Unlicensed in Nevada
As you are aware, the focus of obtaining state licensure is to protect the consumers in our state and define the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist’s scope of practice. In order to protect our scope, there is a board that manages complaints for those practicing outside of their scope with advisement from the Dietitian Advisory Group (DAG).

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Incidence Reporting Tool
Submit IRT to Academy: Incident Reporting Tool
We want to stress that, in states that license the practice or title, the IRT is not a replacement for reporting valid complaints of harm to your state's Dietetics Board or other appropriate government oversight agency. To file a complaint with your state, please do so in accordance with the procedure of the applicable state board or government oversight agency. However, if the information you would like to report is not a violation in your state due to limited licensure provisions (for example, a non-credentialed health coach is providing MNT, but your state only licenses the use of the title 'licensed dietitian'), you should still report the incident via the IRT so the Academy can compile a database of unqualified practice reports. |
